چکیده

Abstract Background The role of stent post dilatation (SPD) during primary percutaneous intervention (PPCI) is controversial. Currently there are no clear guidelines or consensus regarding when to perform SPD and it left the operator decision. Purpose aim this study was evaluate procedural long terms outcomes PPCI. Methods We collected retrospectively data 614 STEMI patients who presented two tertiary centers one year period. All underwent excluded with cardiogenic shock, prior CABG, severe LM disease. Patients were divided into groups according procedure. Group 1: had included 424 (69.1%). 2: 190 (30.9%). Both well matched regard demographic lesion characteristics. Procedural clinical at collected. Results significantly higher incidence reflow procedure (33.7% in group 1 vs. 21.6% 2, P=0.026), but final TIMI flow similar between groups. Also, significant difference other as dissection, perforation, cardiac death. After follow up reinfarction (5.6% 1.5% P=0.03) more target vessel revascularization (TVR) (16.7% 4.7% 2 P<0.001). There cerebrovascular stroke (CVS), heart failure Conclusion Our shows that PPCI associated an increased risk need for TVR after up. Finally, did not improve Nonetheless, large-scale randomized trials required establish Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Evaluating long-term outcomes of coronary angioplasty with or without post-dilatation

Introduction: Post-dilatation is associated with a simultaneous expansion of the stents that enhances the angioplasty outcomes. However, increased risk of mortality and morbidity has been reported in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) which has provoked considerable controversies concerning its efficiency. Materials and Methods: During a two-...

The Relation of Serum Bilirubin Level with the Severity and Complexity of Coronary Artery Disease and Long-term Outcomes in the Patients Undergoing Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

Background and Aims: Bilirubin has been considered an antioxidant that protects against atherosclerosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship of serum bilirubin level with the severity and complexity of coronary artery disease (CAD) and long-term outcome in the patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Materials and Methods: This prospective coho...

Percutaneous and surgical interventions for in-stent restenosis: long-term outcomes and effect of diabetes mellitus.

OBJECTIVE We examined long-term outcomes of patients with in-stent restenosis (ISR) who underwent different percutaneous interventions at the discretion of individual operators: balloon angioplasty (BA), repeat stent or rotational atherectomy (RA). We also examined long-term outcomes of patients with ISR who underwent coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG). BACKGROUND In-stent restenosis remai...

Impact of completeness of percutaneous coronary intervention revascularization on long-term outcomes in the stent era.

BACKGROUND The importance of completeness of revascularization by percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with multivessel disease is unclear in that there is little information on the impact of incomplete revascularization outside of randomized trials. The objective of this study is to compare long-term mortality and subsequent revascularization for percutaneous coronary intervention pa...

Clinical and procedural characteristics associated with higher radiation exposure during percutaneous coronary interventions and coronary angiography.

BACKGROUND We aim to study the clinical and procedural characteristics associated with higher radiation exposure in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs) and coronary angiography. METHODS AND RESULTS Our present study included all coronary angiography and PCI procedures in 5 PCI centers in the Western part of Sweden, between January 1, 2008, and January 19, 2012. The ...
